GRTU Fall Chapter Meeting with Guest Speaker Alice Owsley November 16, 2019, 11 AM – 2 PM at Lazy L&L Campground. See you there!
We have moved this meeting and changed the time of the event to be on the river and during the best trout time on the river and allow our members time to fish the Guad before or after the meeting. We are hoping these changes will encourage our out of the area members to turn it into a fishing weekend on the river and join us for the meeting.
Our guest speaker is Alice Owsley(https://riversideanglers.com/meet-us & https://www.affta.org/2017/01/10/january-member-of-the-month-alice-owsley-riverside-anglers/) and we are stoked to have her with us. If you’d like to learn about fishing West Yellowstone and methods to catch more trout, Alice is the person to do exactly that for you!
Chris Johnson, the owner of Living Waters Fly Fishing in Round Rock will be holding a “Learn to Tenkara” class from 9:30-10:45 prior to the meeting. If you are interested in learning more about this technique and the equipment involved, please join us he shares his knowledge and passion for Tenkara. We’ll have coffee and donuts available for this early group.
Matt Bennett, aka The Fly Geek, will be demonstrating how to tie some of his best known creations throughout the meeting. Come learn from one of the best in the business how to tie the most effective flies for the Texas Hill Country.
As we will be going through the lunch hour and most likely have some hungry fishermen on our hands, GRTU will provide lunch and beverages at the meeting.
