Thinking of getting a Reddington Strike 2 and a Sage ESN for the upcoming trout season. Anyone using this technique on the Guad? If so, how did you set up your reel (backing, fly line, running line, tippets)? Lengths of each would be helpful. Thanks

I suggest you go to Troutbitten.com and look up their standard mono rig. It’s a great place to begin.

But, more importantly, you should join the GRTU LAP program. You get lots of places to access the river, you get to talk to a lot of experienced anglers, and, most importantly, you give back to the organization that works indefatigably to make great trout fishing possible on the Guad.
