We are excited to announce that Jon Easdon of @anglers_covey will be presenting a unique presentation on flyfishing stillwaters.
Stillwater fly fishing is one of the most exciting and underserved segments in all of fly fishing. Often dismissed by many fly anglers, the popularity of stillwater fly fishing is ever increasing and holds many new opportunities for anglers. In this presentation Jon will discuss all of the necessary techniques, tactics and strategies to gain stillwater success.
Jon Easdon is a Colorado native hailing from Leadville, CO. He is the Director of Services and a professional Guide at Angler’s Covey in Colorado Springs, CO. Jon is also a signature fly designer with Umpqua Feather Merchants. He fell in love with fishing at the age of 4 and first cast a fly rod at 12 years old on our own South Platte River. He has cut his teeth deciphering some of the most technical fisheries in the state and enjoys “geeking out” on fish. He also ties many great patterns for our area waters. Jon’s passion is contagious, and he loves to share that with those he fishes with. Whether it’s a day in Cheesman, chasing big fish in South Park, or exploring our trophy stillwaters from a kayak or boat, Jon is about as well rounded as they come.
