January 15, 2025 at 8:15 pm #17211Well, apparently, this forum doesn’t get much traffic. I just came across this newsletter article from GRTU, 1999.

January 6, 2025 at 7:25 am #17171I found a study by Texas State University concerning the Guadalupe River Basin, which also included tributaries and other area rivers that feed into the Guadalupe.
This means that the study went into detail in other areas where the average GRTU LAP member fishing for trout would not benefit.I’m still looking for a study highlighting the abovementioned fishing areas. I will report what I find.
January 1, 2025 at 7:50 am #17129Along the lines of stream health, does anyone know of a study(ies) for the Guadalupe River (or similar) concerning sun-screen use by river floaters? Specifically how the sloughing off of sun-screen may affect macro-invertebrates, the transferring of O2 in the ripples, etc., or the water surface film elasticity?
I’m just wondering if there are more environmentally desirable sun-screen alternatives than those that are popular and commercially available.
Happy New Year!
December 27, 2024 at 7:32 am #17101This is my second year as a LAP member, and I was going to be active in the stocking program. Yet an earlier-than-expected knee replacement has sidelined me for much of this season, as far as wading (or carrying a significant weight down a slope).
Therefore, I will miss the January 4th stocking. I hope to get on the river soon, possibly with a guide. Hopefully, we will get more rain for higher flows.
Cheers, Bill

Lot4s to think about, there no big expectations for monster fish.March 24, 2024 at 8:53 am #16345I too am going to the Lanesboro, MN area on June to fish.
We’re pretty much locked into that area as ournon fishing spouses want their familiar non fishing activities (shoppping, hikes).
Anyone fish in that area of Minnesota?March 7, 2024 at 6:18 am #16333Was the Zoom meeting recorded? Where is it found, if it was recorded?
February 9, 2024 at 10:00 pm #16300Are there TU mesh cleanup bags to be had? If so, where to get them?
