I have been tying a lot. Pretty much every day. It’s been over a month since my last trip to the river and I’ve got cabin fever. I’m having dreams about summertime fishing in Colorado – although no such trip is on the books, lol.
Here is a pic of my most recent box organized with no particular rhyme or reason.
I called the game wardens on Monday. A couple gentlemen were using power bait in the S-turn pool. Tough spot for the wardens to access.
How did the inaugural Euro gathering go? Cliff notes?
I would be interested in joining a group chat with the Euro Nymphing crowd so we can share pictures, stories, tips and possibly create more opportunities to meet up.
JC – I only make it to the river about once a month but this would be a worthwhile exercise. Mr. “greg.essington” prefers to tightline as well and he will be interested. Thanks.
I didnt take any pictures, unfortunately, but I caught 10-15 fish on October 28th, and at least 5 of them were 6″ or less with perfect tail and dorsal fins. I caught two up near rainbow bend and then several more all the way down to Kanz.
@ksinspections – my compadre and I were the guys passing you in a drift boat when that happened. That was pretty wild.
Thanks, everyone. I feel good about my nymphing abilities and I can usually find fish when I visit new water. I’m actually looking for new flys to tie and want to fill up my box with patterns that locals like to use.
