Dana, in years past I had success with a sink-tip line and streamers, but that was with good flows. It’s not working this year, unless you just want to catch rocks and weeds.
I saw at least seven on Tuesday. They were feeding vigorously on top, even leaping a foot or more out of the water. Looked pretty healthy to me, but not interested in anything I threw, and I didn’t have any dries. Couldn’t see what they were eating anyway.
Looks like they may catch a lot of brand new Nebraska browns this year. Next year maybe we should try not to stock the day before the tournament…
