Got held over for mandatory overtime this morning. Hope everyone had a good time. It looks like the state also just stocked fish too.
November 25, 2021 at 6:47 pm #14414I can try to come when I get off shift to help with the tail end of it
November 21, 2021 at 8:31 pm #14354Show them the trick where you put the rod over your head to land a fish then it makes that snapping sound. ?
I have the video somewhere if you need a refresher on the correct procedure.
November 21, 2021 at 5:41 pm #14337Looks like his holdover is at JDL.
It’s about perception when ya’ post this stuff. I get the not fishing them the day of. I usually give them 72 to 96 to get acclimated, but seeing all the dudes pull up on 306 immediately after it was stocked tells me that those fish we put in got hammered.
November 21, 2021 at 5:35 pm #14336We were a little late but it was great to see how many people had their kids in on it this year! We sprung a leak in the little ones waders and had a minor melt down so we had to disappear after #5, but it was a blast for my kid and I’m super happy to so many people excited to help out.
November 18, 2021 at 12:36 am #14305@jc, I’ll try the alcohol method. I have always just filled them with water inside out and sharpie the leak. I have been using a soft set epoxy with some success but I might try to reach out to them.
November 17, 2021 at 2:23 pm #14300I have a pair of dryft waders that are on year….3 I think. Couple of tiny pinholes at seam joints that I can’t get to leak when I’m looking for them, so they’re tiny. Otherwise great waders. I really wish I could afford to get the jacket and wader pair and a pair of the session pants.
November 10, 2021 at 5:03 pm #14221Nothing other than state stockers have been put in up there in a while. That being said, there are some fish the have survived the striper up that way, but they’re few and far between. I think some stuff swims upstream from time to time. Your best bet would be paddling down from the dam if you want to pick those waters. Portage river left at the falls.
November 10, 2021 at 4:12 pm #14220Ahhhahahah you got me. Saw this and thought it was ” the post”
Noticed the other day that a bunch of trout are no longer where they were a few days before.
November 6, 2021 at 6:02 pm #14178We saw a few down that way this summer, anything with any spunkiness we rocky beach and up. Basically anywhere they had a big deep pool to stay cool in or water temps were low consistently.
November 2, 2021 at 12:07 pm #14150Hopefully they do better than the guys that were cast netting trout there last spring. ?
