    Thanks Chris/Brian – I only get down 2 or 3 times a year for a couple of days & generally play it safe @ Rio & Ponderosa; last season added #5 into repertoire and enjoyed.

    Just back from our 1st fishing trip this season – did take son down for our 1st stocking. Stayed at river road treehouses, highly recommend; enabled access up from ponderosa bridge, and was able to wade up/down to bridge. I am relatively new to fly fishing and struggled when tried to get to close to other side/middle and turned back nervously! Did see someone take a dunk. 3 to net and lost one giant when after hooked, swam straight to me, one jump & hook spat out – I could not keep tension in line- panicked! I have already ordered wadding staff online; thanks to James who stopped for chat along the bank and gave me two of his own tied patterns – looking forward to finding time for next trip.
