Your in luck as I am a NERD that has reviewed many documents on river matrix elements. I have included a link to a document (https://www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2015-06/documents/stream.pdf) that should keep you busy for awhile for investigation into stream monitoring and quality – chapter 4 is on macro invertebrates. Enjoy and let me know if you want any other river information as I have had some stashed from many years. One thought you may want to keep in mind is that at one time I was in the process of setting up my own study by sampling 3 or 4 places on the river during fishing season to identify dominate bugs, but life happens and never got there. Maybe that is something we may want to do in the near future.

I used boa early on, but ended up replacing with laces because couldn’t get booties in boots due to restricted opening Maybe better now, but would try boots with current waders if possible.

Fished the Green last year. We stayed in Vernal because accommodations and restaurants were sparce near the dam and drove a hour each day. Did 2 floats through Trout Flies shop and they were good. Stay away from weekends though river was packed.

Found this link for all of Guad basin flowrates on one page that is handy – https://www.cceo.org/mainpage/river_flow_data.php – looks like we are going to get nice spike from today’s rain. 318cfs in Kerrville and heading our way. Keep the drums active Jimbo, still along way to go.

Ok thanks for your responses. Water flow table from GBRA presentation shows 43 cfs as min in February so not sure where 35 came from. But I guess 8 cfs doesn’t really make a difference 😕.
