Great that you are trying something new and enjoying your time on the river. Please note that fish were just stocked yesterday morning and need a minimum 24 hour period to recover from the trip to the river. Most GRTU members have always tried to give the fish a break and not fish for them on stocking day. In the future would ask that you observe this basic practice and wait at least a day before fishing. Thanks for your understanding.

Try Chris Johnson at Living Waters, I believe he works on membership committee. Apparently, Dustin no longer has anything to do with LAP. You can call Chris at the store and if he is not the guy should be able to direct you.

Stocking dates aren’t posted. As a LAP member you will receive an email blast about 10 days before the Stocking with details.

At $200/night must think are still in California. If I remember used to be below a $100 a night and that was without TU discount. I wish them luck.

Noticed that temperature monitor at Maricopa has been out since the heavy rain earlier this month. Monitor says expected connection was a week ago. Does anyone know when this might get fixed.

I too have been wondering when we will get out new LAP passes? Maybe someone from the board can comment.

Doc you are right that after 5 years all the newbies would be veterans and may have to setup a sliding scale based on how many veterans sign-up. Biggest issue right now is we really don’t have any data identifying how many LAP members renew each year. So before we can adjust the process we would need to find the percentage that renew each year. If is 80%, then 800 of the 1000 passes would be offered to returning LAP members with the remaining 200 offered on sign-up day. This of course is only one way to sort, but until we have more data is just a point on the graph.

I didn’t get into the sign-up process until 10 and went right through. Took my TU member number without any problems. Maybe it was just because IT guys got the bugs out.

I am lifetime member, upgraded in 2005. Although was a bit pricey at the time, plus break even was 30 years, considered it an investment in the future of GRTU . Best part is don’t have to remember to renew each year.

Looks like Canyon Lake got ~6 in rain, and with runoff – 4000cfs at Spring Branch at 8:30AM, should hit pool or be very close in next couple days. Now we just need some colder weather to cool the lake. Sattler flow at 160cfs is very positive sign, hopefully we don’t get anymore big rain events for a while that cause high releases.
