I will agree about the White, below Beaver Dam. I normally stay in Eureka Springs, 10 miles away or so. The road that takes you down to the dam area, restrooms etc., continues to following the river downstream. I always went to the very end, parked there and followed trail down to the river. You need to cross there and you will have easy walking and wading, but, and I mean but, crossing the river can be interesting. All depends on flow from the dam. I’m 6′ tall and sometimes the water would be up to my chest while crossing. The bottom changes all the time due to the release from the dam. If you notice water starting to rise, get the hell out. You don’t have much time. Try using 6x and 7x, that makes a big difference. Really!
