I have one of the U shaped ones, and have only used on local lakes . The backward propulsion is a little awkward, but doesn’t bother me that bad. I have never tried it in any environment with flow. It seems like I need to either hire a float guide or just wait until the flows are manageable for wading. This is my first year on the LAP and I’m hoping to wade at some of the sites this season. It looks like the lake is still rising with the higher flows, so who knows what to expect.
January 8, 2019 at 10:27 am #2724Thank you. That’s about what I was thinking. Until flows recede, the options are just going to be limited, and we all need to be safe above all else. That said… how is fishing at the locations that are the “safest” to wade?
December 14, 2018 at 11:38 am #2361Right now Canyon Lake is showing 909.6′ above sea level. Any idea at what point they will reduce the flow a little?
