A big thank you to everyone for the great advice. I fished last Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning and had some luck at maricopa and then moved down river and the water started to get very muddy. I have 2 other questions.

    1. What was the furthest down river that fish were stocked? I was fishing down at Doc Sanders and a guy told me that nothing was stocked that far down this year.

    2. Do most folks prefer rubber soles or felt? I have been using a pair of redington boots with rubber soles and have never slipped and fell in, and could almost walk as fast as on dry land if I wanted to. I lost the sole off one so I bought a new pair of korkers buckskins with interchangeable felt and rubber soles. Started with felt and everything seemed somewhat slick but never fell. Changed to rubber soles and fell all the way in twice and got soaked. I am just wondering if maybe it’s those specific boots or if some different soles (maybe studded) would be better.

Thanks again to everyone for the tips.

We kayaked and fished from WW to L&L in Diablo Amigos when flows were at 612 2 days ago with no issue. Flows were too high to fish from the kayak so we stopped along the way to fish. We portaged at hideout and the wier below rio. Looking back we probably would have been fine only portaging at the wier below rio. Definitely wear a pfd and portage around anything you don’t feel comfortable with. We did stop to scout before running rapids.
