Thanks Jimbo for securing this parking and access spot. Now we can access Horseshoe and Kanz areas much easier. Will we also be able to park at Whitewater when TPWD starts stocking?

In this situation, would it be OK to go to Action Angler, L&L or Rio and pay the daily fee for the extra guest?
I have waded #5 to Potts and Potts to almost Ponderosa. I think in current flows it should not be a problem. If flows are >300 it may get a little difficult. The walk back would be a killer.
I noticed on the list of lease locations a second Lazy L&L, Is this their take out location downstream from Bezdek’s? Just wanted to make sure. I don’t remember having this access point in the past.
Later in March and early April is when I have caught bass on streamers while targeting trout. Last summer while playing a perch on my 3 wt., I had a bass come up out of a hole and swallow the perch. It was a short fight and the bass won.
With flows at 500, I’m not sure there is anywhere safe except CVC and maybe Maricopa
Fishing Tip – put your fly under an Osprey perched in a tree over the water. They are not there to enjoy the scenery.
Has anyone noticed how an Osprey will fly around and show off its kill when they do catch a fish.
I have been using studs on my wading boots for about 4 years and have only gone down under once and that was more from not paying attention to where I was stepping. They can be slippery on big rocks, but for the most part they grab better than plain fibram soles.

Fished Friday afternoon, hooked two fish and lost both, had several strikes that I missed.
Wading is a little tricky if you don’t know the area you are in. Use a wading staff. Mine came in very handy today. Also, fighting fish in these flows is hard on both ends of the line. If you can get the fish to shallow water you’ll have an easier time getting it to the net. Be safe out there!
Does anyone know if GBRA is going to drop flows down to wadeable levels before next weekend? 700+ FPS is not safe for even the strongest waders.
I will be there next Saturday, looking forward to it!
