I typically just google “Guadalupe River flow sattler” and it pops upon the USgs site. There is a link on the grtu page also.

Ya I just meant drift boat in general terms. Def looking for a raft style set up typical to the area. Like I said I may just leave it in the area year round specifically for the fishing season on the Guad. Should have been a bit more specific.

I’m always up to recommend the rio grande gorge in New Mexico. Pretty amazing in my opinion and can fish year round, conditions may be better or worse throughout the year based on numerous factors of course. Taos is nearby or there is a bunch of rv camps and free public land camping nearby.

Hmm what’s the best way to upload a video here? YouTube link or something along those lines?

Went well, I have a cool video I’ll try to upload if I can keep the quality where you can tell what is going on. I can’t remember all spots stocked but there were only 5 or six, starting at Maraposa ending at #5. Whitewater was a stop, downstream of whitewater like past the bridge .25-.5 miles down. I’m sure someone else will fill in the gaps.

The lake/dam is usually a buffer unless it gets beyond their holding capacity and they have to increase flow. I dont think the rain over the weekend affected flow too much if any. Of course if the rain falls downstream of the dam then that may change things a bit. The rain would have to be pretty sustained for multiple days to really factor in. However, it will usually muddy up the water a bit, but it has been pretty muddy anyways so Would not be to worried about it.

I envy your 1.25 hour drive time, I’m looking at 4 hours on a good day…

No charge with the tag. Water is high but I was able to cross the river in one spot. There are fish there too so that’s nice.

If you want to link up I would be game. I dont know everything but this is my 3rd season fishing the Guad. New to LAP myself but enjoying it so far. I have a pretty flexible work schedule and am always looking for fishing partners. I will be at Lazy L&L this weekend, number is 432-231-5581, feel free to reach out. I have a few friends in the area this weekend so it should be a good time. Ill fish saturday all day, and sunday morning, just wading. Gotta be back in Midland monday morning.

If we dont link up feel free to cruise by for a beer! We will be by the river in a red Tacoma w/ a rod vault & little blue/grey camper.

Another question for y’all, has anyone made it downstream of Whitewater? Near that beat up old dam, you pass 2, but it is the second one you come to I am wondering about. Just curious if it is foolish to try to make it down there with the high flows.
