Trout Unlimited has had many updates of legal actions and petitions to be signed over the past years. Check out TU Bristol Bay Also check out http://www.savebristolbay.org that comment by jrhooper prompts the following in my mind__
A question for Board of Directors of GRTU; Why no publicity about the proposed largest mine in NA near the greatest fishery in NA directed to our Guad centric members?
Hey Doug, thanks for your efforts and I agree with your comments about special privileged info. Frankly I fish the fly because I enjoy the challenge of finding and enticing the action of any size fish, so I do not mind searching this river or any river.
But exclusive membership privileges or class of membership and info-really? What is next?
I purchased 2 guest passes with intent of a single day outing with son and grandson. So now I see that would be a no no— but where in the enrolement procedure , rules or materials or education video was it stated as I enrolled ? If it was there, I clearly missed it. Thanks for clarification.
Damn, I have been sight casting to that fish for several years. Now, no more of that– but I sure would like to see it. I will be returning from Illiam 30 1nch rainbow fishing in Sept. So I offer to give it a ride home from Alaska. Just let me know today, April first.
Consider Carbondale/Basalt Colorado between Glenwood Springs (Colorado River) and Aspen in The Roaring Fork River Valley. Four rivers within 12 miles or less: Frying Pan tailwater, Roaring Fork in open sunny valley, Crystal-true freestone, and the Colorado. Private water also available thru local fly shops such as Alpine Angling in Carbondale. Party in Aspen and ski until mid April if so inclined. Good Luck.
Jimbo, thanks for all you have done and do and for detailing inflation. Still not understanding why a non- fishing companion or spouse needs to have a pass, which is what I think I read from your dissertation re costs and from other posts I have read.A non fishing guest places no pressure on the fishery but might someday become a dues paying member if treated with hospitality.
SO TO CLARIFY , DOES EVERY ONE NEED A PASS? fishing or not?
Wow and/or what the hell and or why ??
Can somebody clarify spouse rules as for non-fishing versus fishing spouse on lease sites?? I thought spouse pass last year was for fishing at discount rate — so this year another membership was required for fishing access, correct? And no pass required for non fishing spouse to hang out on river bank and bird watch, correct? except at commercial fee sites, correct? -
