Hey Adam.
I doubt anyone’s pattern will be revealed or even helpful to much.
I struggle to get a bite in these high flows with my bug rod. Many others also find it ……challenging.
But advise from a bad fly fisherman.
One guy may catch fish on a girdle bug and midge, another one swears by Hairear, Streamers, egg, worm.
Most will fish an attractor with a small dropper.
Ya, I know. It’s hard and slow sometimes.
Try a new area, add shot, try different technic.
C u on the water
What Wiscoy says.
These are places I take my 65 yo (shhhh) wife and catch fish
There some in there.
Most encounters are early in the Morning.
I came across a 7-8 lbr. below the bridge at Ponderosa the other day floundering in the shallows. I thought it was dead but when I reached down to check him out he came to life and got out of my grip and bolted into the deep. I think the fish was sick, beat up going down the river or someone played it to death earlier.
As much hardware that I throw I find it a waste of energy trying to catch them. But there’s some in there.
I hear ya Baker.
Been looking for you/your truck but just haven’t found you, yet.
Yep, I think I met you at the gate.
Ponderosa is not call Dunkarosa for nothing.
I caught 2 and missed 1 in about 2 hours out there.
It’s no big deal.
I called TU and the nice lady said she would change the membership and issue a refund when she gets the packet.
Susan says that it will be a lot less expensive and easier to just pay $10 at the offices, park and walk from free area’s or get a day pass.
Now I won’t have to change her hooks out, pinch barbs and she can keep a fish if she wants to.
No Biggie.
