I was wade fishing yesterday up from Ponderosa Bridge out in front of The Summit and could see the petroleum film. Caught some fish and did not see any dead fish floating

I do think it is unfortunate that a change of some kind in the LAP Program has not been made since last year and Oct. 1 is coming upon us soon.

After reading all the suggestions I think that Oct 1 registration should be limited to those that are current LAP members and or have been members in the years past.  If during this registration the total number of memberships are sold so be it.  If not registration could remain open Oct. 2nd for any additional and or new members.

However, it is probably to late to make any changes now.  If it goes like last year’s then for sure the 2022-2023 program should be changed.

With COVID still being with us I would expect another record year in memberships being sold.  People are looking for an escape to the outdoors.  Evident by the number of fishing licenses being sold, boats, rv’s etc. etc.’

    Thanks,

A good way to meet some fellow fly fishers is to attend the monthly meeting of the New Braunfels Fly Fishers (NBFF).  Our meetings are typically the 4th Wednesday of each month and are open to the public.  Our next meeting is tomorrow Oct 28th at 7:00PM.  We are meting in the pavillion at the Summit.  The Summit is located at 13105 River Road.  Turn off River Road in the direction to the river.  The pavillion is behind the clubhouse.  Bring a chair so we can practice social distancing.

Dan Cone is out club President and is also the VP of Fisheries for GRTU.  We will be discussing this trout season and the stocking program.

    You are welcome.
