The correct gate code for CVC is 1976. It was misprinted on the map. My apologies for the error

I would suspect that the large number of anglers that have been parking just past the no parking signs on FM 306 near Cordova Creek have worked that area over.  We saw a lot more traffic in that area of the river this year versus prior years, including down to Kanz.

Planning to go live on or about October 1.  Cost will be the same as last season.  I don’t remember the exact amount of the top of my head, but I believe that I paid about $200 to join LAP and renew my TU membership.

The direct links to the working HoboLink data:

    Mile 1.3/HorseshoeFalls

    Mile 2.9/Maricopa

    Mile 6.6/Potts

    Mile 8.6/DevilsPlayground

There are two monitors (mile 5.2/Rio Raft and mile 7.4/Ponderosa) that are not transmitting data because they are in places on the river that get too poor cellular reception to send and need to be moved. Mile 9.6/RockyBeach was transmitting until a few days ago but now appears to have a battery that need replacing.

Volunteers have been working since last spring to get the monitors up and working again and know that the interface through the GRTU website needs updating but time and people willing to help do the work always seems limited.

If anyone wants to volunteer to help come move monitors, replace batteries or update websites, please reply to this message and help support the GRTU Conservation Committee.

hgr2009- waders aren’t required, but they help keep you dry.  Don’t go out and buy some just for the stocking, lots of kids assist in getting the buckets to the edge river and then folks in waders take over for the final dump.

    Ricke:

In the past we have stocked most but not all of the access points. I will be working with the Fisheries Committee to set the list of locations and numbers of fish at each location prior to the stocking.

    Doug:

we are usually done around 1pm but you are welcome to help for as much or as little as your schedule will allow.

    Alex,

Yes, this is the last of the three rainbow trout trucks (4000 pounds/truck) that we typically stock.  The plan for brown trout has been the same as the past few years: 2000 pounds.
