Alas. Like everything else in the hill country- too many people relocating to our part of the world is having negative effects on yet another fading Texas Hill Country Treasure.

    These are great comments.

since we’re in this general topic area….

I like the idea of increasing prices and using the same to provide more protected access and conditions. Also I’ve talked to quite a few folks about how they may only use their membership a few times a year. They don’t even live nearby.

What about a Tiered System of fully paid all access at a higher price and levels below that that are priced based on 1-5 trips a year. A “pay to play” pricing structure that places a premium on having the highest quality conditions.

I’d hink that would ease the frenzy of LAP opening day.

Let those that can and want to fish several to all days a week pony up more but with that comes with what should be a much more fruitful and higher end experience.

Demand for LAP  is off the charts. Out of control really. That tells me as a CPA that prices are too low compared to supply. Personally I wouldn’t blink twice to pay 3X (or more) the current LAP price and know my access was going to be more private and better protected to create a consistently better and more exclusive experience.

I’m certain there are many great ideas out there. Seems to me a tweak is in order. That river is a gold mine. The LAP is a gold mine. And it should be priced and protected accordingly.

    IMHO and FWIW…???

I’ll be glad to help. Exactly the kind of thing during a weekday that motivated me to retire early ??

I’d love to help. But if there are more people than work I’ve done those before and it’s frustrating. That said if I can stay completely busy from 8-1 stocking I love that kind of help.

    please advise and thanks amigo!

Agree with above as to quality and beauty. I’m ready to be a customer…btw just got into this sport in October on a guided trip on the Big Thomson. What a great day with lots of success. Great guide. He had us using the Dry Hopper set up with a #12 Chubby and a #16 Copper John nymphing below. Browns and Bows were hitting both all day. Newly retired and have yet another hobby to be obsessed with – and i think this one will be the best yet.

    Tight Lines Amigo.
