I thought I’d give this a shot last year so I purchased a Cortland Competition Nymph rod,10’6″, 4#. I didn’t want to invest a load of money in something I wasn’t sure I’d like. Tried it a few times last year but still undecided if it’s for me. I watched all the videos and read George Daniel’s book but I’m a senior citizen and change dosen’t come easy. I may give it another shot this fall. Looks productive on you tube.
Ron, Alex, I’m with you on this. I’ve read 4 pages of comments and everyone has an opinion. I’ve been a LAP member for 11 years and got lucky last year. I was up early but got busy with something else and last track of time. I logged on around 9:00am and got on without a hitch. Number 553. I’ve never had a number with three digits before, so I’m very concerned about this year’s sign up. I believe loyalty deserves consideration. Unfortunately it seems we don’t have a voice or vote in this issue.
Good luck on 10/1/2021
Steve, I said the samething when I retired 5 years ago. Last season I didn’t make it to the river once except for a stocking. I moved here so I would not have to drive back and forth from Houston every two weeks. I’ve got 2.5 acres of cedars I’ve been working on and it’s time to quit and go fishing.
See you on the river,I hope,
