I caught this guy Sunday at Pott’s. It looks like he was grabbed by a Osprey and escaped. He had several black on his other side. He seemed to be doing just fine.
The temp just below the Weir at #5 was 63 degrees at 3:00pm. Temps do tick up during the day. If I can get off during the week one evening I will go up above Rio and see what it looks like. I just haven’t been able to slip away during the week lately and may not for a couple weeks. I am curious how much heat gets added between the 306 bridge and #5.
I fished from #5 to just below Pott’s this morning. Temps at 7am were 59 degrees and it was 61 just below the weir at #5 at 1:30pm. Th3 trout do seem to like the temps!
Does anyone have an idea what the H2O temps are at RIO now?
Since the monitors are not operational, maybe we should start a thread where people can post temps and locations so we have at least an idea what is going on temp wise in the river. Just a thought.
Thanks Jimbo. I’ll keep an eye on it. I won’t be back to the Guad until the water drops a bit. The last couple months have been pretty epic for me. I have a trip to SW CO in early August and MT in early September so plenty of fishing to do!
